The red carpet at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art flooded with elites of the fashion, arts and entertainment world Monday night for one of the most sought-out social events of the year – the Met Gala. This year’s theme: to honor the works of Charles James, “America’s First Couturier”, for his lavishly heavy gowns and highly structured aesthetic.
Each year I tune in to see which dress I may be able to replicate and each year I fail, epic-ly, since at the moment, I do not have a ton of gold sitting around in my house. However this year, I almost fell off my chair and let out a scream at the look which I’m going to save it for last…because it is REALLY that best!
But…in the meantime, let’s enjoy some met-gala-eye-candy…

The Olsen’s can definitely do eccentric…and the eccentric I can see myself wearing. Overall love their sense of odd-fashion!

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Valentino
I actually love the print. May come across as an 80s board game cover but it’s quite catchy!

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton
I don’t care much for Michelle W’s style but it suits her and she pulls it off so…

Nicole Richie in Donna Karan
Nicole is one of the few whose boho style I thoroughly admire. She’s always been a pioneer on the red carpet keeping true to her own style hardly ever giving the audience a dull moment

Blake Lively in Gucci
Nothing too spectacular but I can admire the simplicity & elegance combined with one of my favorite hair-do’s

Anne Hathaway in Calvin Klein
Anne needs to loosen up a little. I see potential but unwillingness to take risks!

SJP in Oscar de la Renta
…and let’s end the night with the Last one but certainly not the Least
SJP, the woman who rocks the red carpet and the fashion scene, did not fail to do so again tonight. This is a DIME! I can’t stop droooooling over SJP! She just KILLS it!!!
Lol @dodo bird. Love Reese’s hairstyles everytime.
Love your comments!! Hilarious and exactly what I was thinking but you articulate it 1000000x better!!
